Currently I am pregnant, and therefore require a calcium intake of 900mg each day. Although there are a lot of foods rich in calcium, it can be very difficult to maintain a balanced diet that provides 900mg of calcium every day. So, in addition to my balanced diet, I began taking one serving of calcium black beans in place of other snacks, for approximately 500mg of calcium. This is a very easy and encouraging method for supplementing calcium intake.

In May I had my bone density measured at a local community center. Since that time, I began and have continued eating calcium black beans. I was so happy at my bone density measurement 4 months later in September to hear that the results were wonderful. For exercise, I bicycle for one hour every day, go hiking to an altitude of 650 meters once a week, and play softball three times each month.

I was diagnosed with osteoporosis in April 2008. At that time I began taking medicine, but did not continue. I had been interested in bone density for some time. This led me to discover Ishikawa calcium black beans. I can't wait to eat my 7 beans every day, and have continued to do so. I am also exercising regularly.
